Rising from the industrial landscape of Dearborn, Michigan, the five-piece band Prostitute is rapidly becoming one of the most vital names in contemporary heavy music. Following a wave of critical acclaim, the band has shared a new visualiser for their punishing single "Judge (Fast)" ahead of the worldwide physical release of their debut album, Attempted Martyr, arriving March 13 on Mute Records.
From Identity Crisis to "Experi-Punk" Excellence
Founded by frontman Moe and drummer Andrew, the band Prostitute delivers a sound that Uncut describes as a "thrilllingly relentless experi-punk debut." The group’s music is a visceral blend of post-hardcore, noise-rock, and Middle Eastern samples, shaped by the lived experiences of growing up in America’s largest Muslim population.
The thematic core of the band stems from Moe’s personal reflections on xenophobia and identity. "I had an identity crisis growing up," Moe explains. "I felt like, ‘How about I be the character you want me to be?’" This concept evolved into the band’s "radical zealot" stage persona—a provocative artistic outlet used to explore alienation and the "real-life nightmares" of war-torn realities.
A Sell-Out Success on the Road
The buzz surrounding the band Prostitute has translated into a massive demand for their live performances. Their upcoming spring 2026 UK headline tour is now completely sold out, including two highly anticipated nights at London’s MOTH Club.
To meet the overwhelming demand, the band has announced a major new London headliner at The Dome on August 26. Tickets for this summer date go on sale this Friday, February 13, at 10:00 AM. Fans can also catch the band’s high-intensity set at prestigious events including the Roadburn, Supersonic, and Printemps de Bourges festivals.
‘Attempted Martyr’ Physical Release
Produced by Chris Koltay (The Armed, Mdou Moctar), Attempted Martyr will be available on CD and two distinct vinyl formats: a standard red edition and a "Lebanese Sunburst" vinyl featuring Arabic detailing. As the band continues to "turn friction into battle-ready eruptions," this Mute Records debut stands as a definitive catharsis for a world on the brink.
