Belfast’s most provocative trio, KNEECAP, have officially announced their highly anticipated sophomore album, FENIAN, set for release on Friday, 24th April 2026 via Heavenly Recordings. The announcement follows a meteoric rise for Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí, whose 2024 album Fine Art and award-winning biopic propelled them from underground icons to arena-filling headliners.

A "Sinister" Response to Suppression

Produced by the legendary Dan Carey in South London, FENIAN is described by the band as a "considered response" to recent attempts by the British political establishment to silence them.

"They tried to stop us by branding Kneecap 'terrorists,' with cancellations, and statements from the Prime Minister himself," the band stated. "It’s a more sinister sound because these are sinister times. But it is also defiant and triumphant."

The title reclaims a term historically used as a derogatory slur, transforming it into a badge of honor for those "speaking truth to power." The 14-track record features heavy-hitting collaborations with Kae Tempest, Radie Peat, and Fawzi.

First Single: ‘Liars Tale’

Coinciding with the news is the release of the first single, "Liars Tale." A riotous blend of 80s rock riffs and rave-punk chaos, the track takes direct aim at the current UK political landscape. The accompanying video, directed by Thomas James, is described as a "nightmarish fuck you" to authority—an abrasive, satirical whirlwind of Irish mythology and modern frustration.

Out-Store Tour & Festival Summer

To celebrate the release, KNEECAP will embark on a series of intimate U.K. out-store performances during the week of the album's launch.
