BRIT Rising Star winner Holly Humberstone has officially ushered in a new era with the announcement of her highly anticipated second album, Cruel World, set for release on 10 April 2026. The news arrives alongside a soaring new single, “To Love Somebody,” which explores the inherent contradictions of intimacy—where extreme happiness and profound sadness exist side-by-side.

Inspired by Victorian theatre, the Brothers Grimm, and the "haunted house" of her childhood, Cruel World finds Humberstone escaping into a dark fairytale world. Unlike the longing and turbulence of her Top 3 debut, Paint My Bedroom Black, this record is anchored in stability and recollection. "The record explores love as beautiful and inherently painful," Holly explains, citing a new writing discipline found in daily studio sessions with long-time collaborator Rob Milton.

Sold-Out UK Spring Tour

To celebrate the lead-up to the album, Humberstone will embark on a run of intimate headline dates across the UK and Europe. Demand has been staggering, with nearly every date on the tour already sold out.

The UK leg kicks off in Glasgow at the end of March before heading to Manchester and Bristol, finally culminating in a landmark performance at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 2 April—just a week before the album drops globally.
