British music icons Squeeze have released their evocative new acoustic single, ‘You Get The Feeling’, offering a fresh glimpse into their highly anticipated studio album, Trixies. Set for release on 6 March 2026 via BMG, the album represents a unique full-circle moment for the band’s legendary songwriting duo, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook.
Though it is their first new album in eight years, Trixies is actually based on the very first songs the pair ever wrote together back in 1974. "These were songs that we just didn’t have enough musical experience to record properly at the time," Difford explains. Fifty years later, with over 600 shows under their belt since reuniting, the band has finally brought these teenage stories—set in a fictional nightclub—to life.
UK Tour: 'Tried, Tested and Trixies'
To celebrate the release, Squeeze will embark on the most ambitious UK tour of their career this autumn. The 16-date Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour will see the band headline major arenas for the first time, including a massive homecoming show at London’s O2 Arena—just miles from where they formed.
Joining them as a very special guest is the acclaimed singer-songwriter and activist Billy Bragg. The tour is also a mission of purpose, supporting both Trussell and Grassroots Music Venues.
