Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi, the world’s most successful contemporary classical artist, has announced the release of his first-ever comprehensive collection of solo piano works. Titled simply ‘Solo Piano’, the album will be released on 27 February 2026 via Decca, marking a definitive journey through his illustrious 30-year career.

A Musical Evolution

The collection brings together Einaudi’s most iconic compositions alongside a brand-new single, ‘Memory One’, which is available today. Reflecting on the new track, Einaudi explains: “‘Memory One’ is a special piece. It’s the song of who we were, transformed by who we’ve become.”

Listeners will be guided through decades of cinematic storytelling, featuring everything from the haunting ‘Elegy for the Arctic’—famously performed on a floating platform for Greenpeace in 2016—to solo arrangements of global hits like ‘Experience’, ‘Nuvole Bianche’, and ‘Una Mattina’. The tracklist also includes more recent successes, such as ‘Adieux’, which in 2024 became the fastest-streamed classical track of all time.

From Intimacy to Arenas

The release coincides with Einaudi’s Solo Piano 2026 tour, which saw dates across the UK and Ireland sell out within mere days. This intimate tour includes two highly anticipated nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall in late April.

However, for those who missed out on the solo shows, Einaudi is also preparing for his largest UK performances to date. Due to "exceptional demand," a second night was recently added for his full-band spectacular at The O2 on 10 and 11 July 2026. While the ‘Solo Piano’ album celebrates the composer’s roots at the keys, the O2 concerts will see him return to the stage with his full ensemble for a grand-scale cinematic experience.

With a legacy spanning record-breaking residencies and millions of streams, Einaudi remains a singular force in modern music, proving that the simple strike of a piano key can resonate across the globe.
