The self-proclaimed "best live band on the planet," international rock sensations The Hives, have today released their latest adrenaline-fueled anthem, “Roll Out The Red Carpet.” The track serves as the newest single pulled from their critically lauded long-playing opus, The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, which dropped in August on Play It Again Sam Records.
The highly anticipated album was crafted with the band's trademark masterful skill and reckless abandon, utilizing the expertise of esteemed producers Pelle Gunnerfeldt and Mike D of the Beastie Boys. “Roll Out The Red Carpet” follows previous album smashes like “Enough Is Enough,” “Paint A Picture,” and “Legalize Living,” further proving the depth of their latest record.
Speaking on the release, The Hives’ Pelle declared the track a decades-spanning triumph: “Every time we pick up our latest album a new hit single falls out. This time it is ‘Roll Out The Red Carpet.’ A song 20 years in the making. Now it’s yours.” Fellow band member Nicholas simply urged: “It’s time to roll out the red carpet for ‘Roll Out The Red Carpet’ by The Hives.”
The rock juggernauts are currently celebrating the release by tearing across the globe. They are presently in the middle of a massive EU and U.K. state visit, with dates running through early December, including a sold-out show at Aviva Studios in Manchester.
The start of 2026 sees The Hives embark on a significant South American jaunt as venerated guests of My Chemical Romance, with stops in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. Following this international run, they will grace the United States of America with their own headlining presence throughout March, hitting major venues in Nashville, Brooklyn, Chicago, and a sold-out date in Toronto. The new single provides the perfect soundtrack for a tour schedule that proves they remain one of the most explosive live acts in music today.
