Ole 60 bring their evolving mix of Americana, indie rock, and country storytelling to the newest episode of Live at the Print Shop, now streaming in full. Filmed earlier this year in Atlanta, the nearly 90-minute session features live performances and an extended conversation that offers a closer look at the Kentucky band’s recent rise.
The set captures a group operating with the confidence of a band in full stride. Drawing from their debut full-length Smokestack Town and earlier breakout EPs, Ole 60 perform “Let You Down,” “Nancy Avenue,” and “Watching Me Bleed,” along with “Smoke & Light” and “Dust 2 Dust.” They also deliver a stripped-down cover of Coldplay’s “Yellow,” reinterpreting the song with their signature blend of grit and melody.
Between performances, the members reflect on their songwriting process and the world behind Smokestack Town - a fictional landscape shaped by their own experiences growing up in rural Kentucky. The conversation touches on influences ranging from John Prine to Smashing Pumpkins, underscoring the band’s cross-genre instincts.
Live at the Print Shop has developed a reputation for presenting artists in a format that feels both relaxed and revealing. The show’s Atlanta studio setting, once a working print shop, provides a warm, analog backdrop for each performance. Previous guests include Stephen Wilson Jr., The White Buffalo, and The Steel Woods, making Ole 60 a fitting addition to the series’ lineup of roots-driven artists.
The episode arrives on the heels of a breakout year for the band. Independently produced by Jacquire King and Justin Eckerd, Smokestack Town debuted at #2 on Apple Music’s Top Country Albums and entered the Billboard charts with more than 12 million first-week streams.
For Ole 60, the Live at the Print Shop performance documents the transition from regional buzz to national recognition - a band connecting small-town storytelling with widescreen ambition.
