In a major announcement that will thrill dance music fans, producer D.O.D has confirmed he will be releasing a new album in 2026. The news broke during an appearance on Capital Dance with Mistajam, where D.O.D and vocalist Poppy Baskcomb were discussing their massive collaboration with Sonny Fodera, ‘Think About Us’.
The track, which was named a 'Jam Hot' collaboration, has been one of the biggest dance hits of the season, solidifying D.O.D's status as a powerhouse in the UK electronic scene. During the on-air chat, host Mistajam put the question to the producer directly: “Are we going to get a D.O.D album?”
D.O.D’s immediate “Yes, you are,” was met with cheers in the studio, officially confirming the highly anticipated project. He offered a sneak peek into his creative process, explaining the reason for the upcoming album's 2026 timeline.
“Yeah, I’m on with it. So that will be coming out next year,” D.O.D said, before adding, “I am so picky about what I release as well. I make a lot of music, but I’m very, very picky about what I release. That’s why the graveyard folder is so big.” This commitment to quality over quantity suggests the forthcoming album will be a meticulously curated collection of his best work.
Mistajam weighed in on the significance of the release, drawing a parallel to a legendary era in UK dance music. "My theory is everything’s cyclical. The last time that we were in this period, where dance music from the UK was as influential as it is right now, was when we got Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, and the Chemical Brothers. We got all of those dance music albums that became timeless albums, and everybody went off that to have twenty-five to thirty-year careers.”
With 'Think About Us' dominating airwaves and a full-length project on the horizon, D.O.D looks set to become the next UK artist to cement his legacy in the electronic music pantheon.
