STONE Announces New Album ‘AUTONOMY’ and Drops Single ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’
Liverpool's defiant four-piece, STONE, have announced the release of their second album, ‘AUTONOMY,’ set for February 20th, 2026. Signaling a fierce return to their core sound, the band has simultaneously dropped the commanding new single, ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO,’ out now via V2 Records.
The new album is described as a self-reflective and highly personal body of work, created in a state of freedom after the intensity of their debut. The band unified to produce their most collaborative, honest, and real music to date, focusing on crafting a true time capsule of their lives.
Leading the charge is the blistering single, ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO.’ This track, the first written for the album, is a fast-paced assault that tackles themes of self-control and the chaotic tension between perception and reality. As lead vocalist and guitarist Fin Power explains, the song is about "temptation and the chaos of partying when control slips away," where "the mirror only reflects something you do not want to see." The track’s gritty, unfiltered lyrics use metaphors like "chasing mice around the board" to reflect on the relentless, soulless side of the music industry and the pressure for an inauthentic image. The energetic accompanying video was filmed behind the scenes while the band was on tour.
Known for their wild, energy-driven live shows and spontaneous house party performances, STONE has fostered a fervent community. Following recent packed-out festival appearances, they are taking their spontaneous energy on the road this month with small, sold-out UK house party shows in London, Newcastle, Manchester, and Sheffield.
In anticipation of the album, STONE has announced a 10-date UK and European headline tour in April 2026. Kicking off in Liverpool on April 2nd and culminating in Paris on April 17th, the run includes a London show at Oslo on April 8th. Tickets go on general sale on Wednesday, October 22nd.
