Today, War Child announces a very special and intimate show at the stunning Union Chapel in London on 10th December, featuring a performance by acclaimed Norwegian alt-pop superstar AURORA. Known for her ethereal sound and profound storytelling, AURORA will take to the stage to help raise funds for War Child to bring comfort, warmth, and joy to children whose lives have been torn apart by war. All proceeds go to War Child.

AURORA’s upcoming show promises to be a truly special, intimate experience, unfolding across two deeply thematic acts — Dusk and Dawn. Dusk will explore activism, humanity, and the power of people coming together, while Dawn will lift audiences into a space of emotion, hope, and renewal, ending the evening on a profoundly positive note. Each act will feature very special guests, and during the interval, audiences will be invited to experience cherished Norwegian festive traditions, alongside exclusive limited-edition merchandise that fans will not want to miss.

This performance takes place as winter closes in, a season that, for millions of children affected by war, brings bitter cold, displacement, and fear. Nearly one in five children around the world are growing up surrounded by violence and uncertainty, facing trauma no child should ever have to endure. As winter sets in, in Gaza, temperatures drop as low as 6 degrees and in Afghanistan, as low as -20. Children in conflict zones around the world are more exposed and vulnerable than ever, amidst relentless bombing, hunger, destroyed homes, and collapsed healthcare systems. The risks are devastating: hypothermia, severe respiratory infections, and worsening starvation.

War Child is working tirelessly to change that, providing safe spaces to play and learn, vital specialist mental health support, and cash assistance to help families afford essentials like food, fuel, and warm clothing. This winter, it’s not the thought that counts; it’s action. Every child deserves safety, warmth, comfort, and joy. Together, we can help War Child give children their first steps towards bright, healthy, and hopeful futures.

AURORA comments, "I am so excited to work with WarChild on this special show. It will be emotional, and intimate. I might even bring in some guests. It's all so very exciting and mysterious. WarChild is such an amazing organisation, and I hope people will support the beautiful work they do. It will do us good to gather around a cause rooted in empathy, wrapped in the arms of music."

Clare Sanders-Wright, Live Music Lead at War Child UK, said; “Music has always had the power to inspire action, and we’re incredibly grateful to AURORA and her team for putting on this wonderful, intimate show in support of our work. We’ve been fortunate to have AURORA's support for several years, and now, as one of our official Music Ambassadors, this event is a truly special opportunity, not only for fans to feel closer to the music they love, but also to help raise vital funds for children whose lives have been torn apart by conflict.

As winter sets in, millions of children — who have already endured unimaginable violence, trauma, and loss — now face bitter cold, hunger, and displacement. The money raised from this show will help us provide these children with warmth, safety, and hope for a brighter future. From creating safe spaces to play and learn, to delivering specialist mental health support and emergency assistance for families who have lost everything, War Child's work has never been more vital.”
