From living rooms to concert stages, the redesigned Pro 6 makes Loog’s playful spirit resonate with a whole new generation of players Loog has spent more than a decade making music accessible to children, turning guitar lessons into something colorful, simple, and fun. Now the company is stepping into new territory, unveiling the new Pro 6, available in both
Acoustic and Electric versions, a redesign that marks Loog’s first model built for teens and adults.
Since its founding in 2011, Loog has built its reputation on the idea that learning guitar does not have to be intimidating. Its three string instruments gave kids a way to play real chords and songs without the frustration of oversized frets or sore fingers. The original Pro 6 took that philosophy a step further, expanding into a six-string format for older children while keeping the playful aesthetic that made Loog stand out in a crowded industry.
The 2025
Loog Pro 6 represents the next leap. Sleeker body contours, upgraded finishes, and all wood construction bring the instrument into the world of serious play while still holding on to the welcoming feel that defines the brand. The Pro 6 is compact, lightweight, and designed with smooth playability in mind, making it a guitar that works just as well for living room practice as it does for late night open mic sets.
“As parents discovered Loog over the years, we often heard them say, I wish this existed when I was a kid,” says Rafael Atijas, CEO of Loog. “With the new Pro 6 guitars, we did something about it. They keep the same beginner friendly spirit Loog is known for, while also feeling perfectly at home in the hands of an adult picking up the instrument for the first time.”
The Pro 6 comes with a set of features designed for learners who want to sound good right away. Short scale design and a light body make it easy to hold, while professional level string action ensures clean chords and accurate intonation. Acoustic models use nylon strings that are gentle on the fingertips, giving new players a softer entry point. Electric models deliver crisp tone and durability fit for band practice or recording sessions. Both versions feature a smooth maple neck and tonewoods chosen to balance sustain, resonance, and long-term quality.
What makes this release stand out is how it bridges the gap between a student instrument and a guitar that can grow with its player. The Pro 6 is approachable for absolute beginners but also capable of delivering the kind of tone and feel that intermediate musicians will not outgrow quickly. In other words, it is a guitar that can follow you from your first chord all the way to your first show.
The Pro 6 Acoustic retails for $169 USD and the
Pro 6 Electric is priced at $249 USD. Both are available now through loogguitars.com.
Loog began as a master’s thesis at New York University when Atijas developed the idea for a three string children’s guitar. After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2011, the company grew into a global music brand, with instruments now played by hundreds of thousands of kids as well as professional musicians like Jack White and members of The Rolling Stones.
With the Pro 6, Loog is no longer just a brand for kids. It is an invitation for anyone who ever wished guitar could feel a little less intimidating and a lot more fun.
