Los Angeles’ genre-blurring duo RIO KOSTA have become a hot tip since releasing their debut album ‘UNICORN’. Inspiring comparisons to the likes of Khruangbin, MGMT and Jungle, their boundless concoction of ‘70s psychedelia, global funk grooves and swooning vocal harmonies has earned a wealth of admirers. They’ve picked up airplay from 6 Music and Radio 2, featured on the soundtracks to ‘EA Sports FC 26’ and ‘Skate’, and highlighted in recent ad campaigns from Apple and Target. And as their sold-out shows in LA and New York have demonstrated, their live experience is heightened by exemplary musicianship and a euphoric ambience.

Now it’s time for RIO KOSTA - multi-instrumentalist, producer duo Mike Del Rio and Kosta Galanopoulos - to introduce themselves to new audiences with the confirmation of their debut UK/European headline tour in December. The tour will see the duo accompanied by their expansive live band and includes a London show at The Lower Third on Dec 8th.

A taster of their live experience can be seen in the new video for one of the album’s highlights, 'Follow The River'.

Tickets for all shows are now available HERE.

Of the tour, RIO KOSTA said, 'We’re so excited to say that we are coming to the EU & UK for some very special shows in December. So many have reached out and now is the time, we can’t wait to meet everyone and connect with this music.'

The blissful, warm euphoria of RIO KOSTA reflects how the project came to be. The duo met by chance backstage at a festival, each intrigued by the other’s vibe. That spark continued with their first jam session, which not only yielded their debut album’s title track but also generated a surfeit of ideas that seeped into the wider album.

Their friendship and creative connection flourished, each finding fresh inspiration from their new friend as jams and recording sessions in the faded decadent LA glamour of Mike’s Hotel Havana studio stretched from late afternoon until daylight broke. They found fresh sonic sounds from shared storied influences such as Jorge Ben, Idris Muhammed, War, Ebo Taylor and Crosby, Stills & Nash. That life-affirming sonic shake was heightened by international touches: infusing elements from their family roots in Greece (Kosta) and Spain, Italy and Puerto Rico (Mike).
