Las Vegas-based singer-songwriter Kat Meoz has signed a distribution agreement with Sound Ballistics, a move she calls a major step forward in her independent career.
“Signing a distribution deal with Sound Ballistics has been the missing piece in a puzzle that was keeping me from continuing to enjoy and explore my indie career,” Meoz said. “I feel like a weight has been lifted and I’m refreshed and ready to keep sharing my music with the world.”
Meoz, a Venezuelan-American artist, has earned recognition for her blend of indie rock, pop, and cinematic songwriting, along with a long list of monster sync placements. Her music has appeared in commercials for Pepsi and PlayStation, during NHL and Major League Baseball broadcasts, and on shows including HBO's Velma, Hacks, and most recently on Project Runway. Her cover of Blondie’s “One Way or Another” was also featured in a UFC main card event with on-screen credits.
She has performed at venues like The Troubadour and contributed background vocals on Iggy Azalea’s “Savior,” which was used in a Super Bowl commercial. Beyond her sync work, Meoz continues to grow her following on streaming platforms and beyond.
Sound Ballistics will provide global digital distribution along with other vital support services aiming to expand Meoz’s reach while allowing her to maintain creative control. Concluding the video conference with the press, Ben Baeumert, the founder of Sound Ballistics Music & Publishing remarked: “Kat represents exactly what Sound Ballistics is all about: great music, great energy, and global potential! Offering a deal was a no-brainer and we couldn’t be more excited to team up with her.”
