A monumental collection celebrating The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s iconic 1967 album, Axis: Bold as Love, is set for release on November 7. The new box set, titled Bold As Love, will be available in 5-LP/4-CD and Blu-ray formats, offering fans an unprecedented look into the creation of the legendary album.

Produced by Janie Hendrix, original engineer Eddie Kramer, and John McDermott, the deluxe set includes the original stereo and mono mixes of Axis: Bold as Love, remastered from the original tapes. The collection also features a brand new immersive Dolby ATMOS mix, created by Kramer and engineer Chandler Harrod, marking a modern update to the classic sound.

The centerpiece of the release is the inclusion of an incredible 40 bonus tracks, with 28 of them being previously unreleased. These tracks include alternative takes, unreleased studio sessions, demos, and live performances from the time the album was made. Among the unearthed gems is a studio demo of "Stone Free/Up From The Skies," which offers a fascinating glimpse into Hendrix’s creative process.

The box set delves into the creative period following the Experience’s groundbreaking debut, Are You Experienced. Having conquered the UK, the band headed to the US for their legendary performance at the Monterey International Pop Festival. Upon their return, Hendrix, producer Chas Chandler, and engineer Eddie Kramer began work on what would become Axis: Bold as Love. This new collection captures the raw energy and creative experimentation of that pivotal time, with live recordings from shows and TV appearances in Sweden and the UK.

For fans and collectors alike, the Bold As Love box set is a deep dive into the genius of Jimi Hendrix, revealing new layers of one of rock's most influential albums.
