In an age overshadowed by social media, overconsumption, and relentless expectations, it’s easy to forget that being enough is already the best you can be. In her heartfelt new track, folk-pop songstress Rachael Sage offers a soul-stirring reminder of that truth. Infused with her signature vintage warmth, “Just Enough” doesn’t demand - it soothes and uplifts. With glowing harmonies and a soundscape reminiscent of Van Morrison at his most tender, the track lets Sage’s profound lyrics shine at the forefront.
Now accompanied by a vibrant music video, the release amplifies the inclusive spirit of her forthcoming album ‘Canopy,’ out October 24th, while also echoing her recent announcement as the very first official ambassador for UK charity Rainbow Mind - a pioneering organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ mental health with compassion, community, and radical care.
The video opens with the crackle of a needle on vinyl, nodding to the track’s ’60s allure and humming organ intro. Soon, the scene bursts into color: flowing pink tinsel, golden stage lights, a red leather sofa, and shimmering disco balls casting spells of light. True to her eclectic style, Sage appears in a multicolored gown, accented with azure eyeshadow and a neon-flower headband; her look a sparkling visual embodiment of the song’s message and her partnership with Rainbow Mind. Joined by her band, Sage creates a joyful celebration of individuality and community. The video spotlights a cast of vibrant characters dancing, laughing, and unapologetically being themselves. From ’70s-inspired flares and feather boas to keytars, tambourines, bold patterns, and bright pink hair, the playful scenes radiate freedom and unity. A small but powerful detail hides in plain sight: a sign on a guitar amp reading “Free Gay & Be Happy” beside an illustrated rainbow.
Through her heartfelt music and now committed advocacy, Sage continues to champion inclusivity and authentic self-expression with sincerity. Her partnership with Rainbow Mind feels deeply fitting: the charity, with hubs in London and Manchester, is led and staffed by LGBTQIA+ people and provides safe, non-judgemental spaces, one-to-one therapy, group support, physical activities, and community connection. At a time when research shows LGBTQIA+ communities face disproportionately higher rates of mental health challenges, Sage’s voice and visibility add both hope and urgency to the conversation.
