Grounded Sounds, the acclaimed music organization and charity, has proudly announced the appointment of award-winning artist Leigh-Anne Pinnock and British-Nigerian rapper Shaybo as its newest patrons. Both artists bring a wealth of experience, inspiration, and a shared passion for nurturing the next generation of musical talent in South London.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock, globally recognized from Little Mix, has consistently used her platform as a changemaker and advocate for equality. Her unwavering belief in music's power to heal and empower aligns perfectly with Grounded Sounds' mission to make music accessible to all. Pinnock has already been a significant supporter of the charity’s summer holiday music program, The Bridge, not only through generous funding from her foundation, The Black Fund, but also by visiting in person to inspire participants. "Supporting a charity like Grounded Sounds... is deeply meaningful to me," Pinnock shared. "I’m honoured to be a patron and truly inspired by all that they do."
Shaybo, a groundbreaking force in the UK rap scene, is celebrated for her raw lyricism and powerful voice, blending English and Yoruba with fierce authenticity. Her journey from South London to international recognition is a testament to the transformative power of creativity, a message she now helps Grounded Sounds amplify. Shaybo has been actively involved with the School Ground Sounds project, visiting numerous schools to offer advice, support, and inspiration to students, often bringing fellow guest artists with her.
