Buzzing British indie-pop quartet The K's are gearing up to release their highly anticipated second album, 'Pretty On The Internet,' on July 25th. The announcement comes alongside the immediate release of their latest single, “Me And Your Sister,” out now via LAB Records.
The band, comprising Jamie Boyle (vocals/guitar), Ryan Breslin (guitar), Dexter Baker (bass), and Nathan Peers (drums), have been working on 'Pretty On The Internet' with Grammy Award-winning producer Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, The Dandy Warhols), with mixing handled by Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Foals). Fans can pre-order the album now.
“Me And Your Sister” sees The K’s returning to their signature guitar-driven sound. Frontman and songwriter Jamie Boyle described the track as a departure from his usual intensely personal lyrics. "I’m probably best known for my brutally honest, real-time documentation of the chaos constantly unfolding in my head — and the mental struggles that come with it," Boyle explained. "But with 'Me And Your Sister,' I wanted to take a slightly less serious route. It’s a first-hand account of hyping yourself up for a big moment with a girl, only to completely bottle it — rambling nonsense and cringing through the aftermath." He added that it's a "tongue-in-cheek retelling of a painfully familiar experience that, if we’re being honest, most people know a little too well."
Following their 'Pretty On The Internet' tour, which included a sold-out show at London's iconic Roundhouse, The K's are set for a busy summer of festivals. They'll be gracing stages at Neighborhood Festival, TRNSMT, Kendal Calling, and Tramlines across the UK. The band has also confirmed appearances at European festivals, including Spain’s Benicassim, with additional European dates in September, such as Hamburg’s Reeperbahn Festival, as well as their own headlining shows in the Netherlands and Germany.
The K's built a phenomenal fanbase with their 2024 debut album, 'I Wonder If The World Knows?', which impressively reached number 3 in the Official Album Charts, only surpassed by The Libertines and Beyoncé. It was the UK’s second biggest debut of 2024 and achieved Bronze status in under a year. With their dynamic live performances, honest lyrics, and undeniable musicianship, The K's are proving to be a formidable force in the British music scene.
