Elbow brings jubilant close to Hampton Court Palace Festival 2025
23 June 2025
The curtains have officially fallen on the Hampton Court Palace Festival 2025, concluding a spectacular summer series with two sold-out, triumphant performances by beloved British band Elbow. The multi-award-winning group delivered an unforgettable finale, filling the historic Tudor courtyard with their signature soaring anthems, including "One Day Like This," "Grounds for Divorce," and "Lippy Kids," leaving audiences in a state of pure euphoria.
This year's festival, held against the majestic backdrop of Henry VIII’s palace, boasted nine nights of incredible live music alongside a special edition of a popular podcast. The festivities kicked off with an atmospheric set from indie stalwarts James, followed by powerful performances from the soulful Rag’n’Bone Man and the legendary Tom Jones. The opening weekend kept spirits high with a hit-filled evening from Bananarama, ensuring everyone was "Cruel Summer" ready.
The second week continued the stellar lineup, featuring a crowd-pleasing set from 10cc and a dazzling appearance by the global icon Chaka Khan. Gary Barlow made a highly anticipated return to Base Court, leading a night of sing-along favourites before Elbow's two-night residency brought a fittingly grand close to another memorable year.
Beyond the main stage, festival-goers made the most of the glorious sunshine, arriving early to enjoy the picturesque East Front Gardens. Many indulged in gourmet street food and luxurious picnics provided by British Fine Foods before heading into the intimate 3,000-seat auditorium for the evening's main event.
While the 2025 edition has now wrapped, anticipation is already building for next year. Preparations for Hampton Court Palace Festival 2026 are well underway, with the highly anticipated line-up expected to be announced in the coming months. Renowned for blending world-class musical talent with the historic grandeur of a royal setting, the festival continues to offer one of the UK’s most unique and enchanting live music experiences.
