Watercolored isn’t just the artistic persona behind rising singer-songwriter and producer Itai Bauman—it’s also the visual reflection of his upcoming concept album, Tears of the Sea. With its waves of sound, the project ebbs and flows like the tide, out now.

“Tears Of The Sea is a concept album that portrays a journey through the oceans outside and within,” says Itai. Drawing inspiration from Porcupine Tree, Mercury Rev, and The Divine Comedy, this sonic odyssey plunges you headfirst into the deep end. With oceanic lyricism—“You are in a small boat in the middle of the ocean. You are alone,” stripped directly from ‘A Dream’—it’s as sharp as it is immersive. Tears of the Sea expertly sails through stormy chaos, only to gently drift you into serene moments of calm.

Itai Bauman’s musical voyage started at Rimon Contemporary Music School in Israel before carrying him to Catalyst Berlin. He eventually dropped his anchor at Thinkspace Education for a master’s in Composition for Media. Along the way, he’s carved out an immersive, unconventional, and entirely his own sound.

From the personal stroke of ‘The Chase’ to the dream-pop glow of ‘Waterflowers’ and the late-night rooftop reflections of ‘Ocean Stream’ in Berlin, Tears of the Sea unfolds like a slow-moving voyage—one that promises to pull you under and carry you to a place you’ve never been before.
