The UK Music Video Awards (UKMVAs), the premier global celebration of music video creativity, officially launched its call for submissions today, June 11, 2025. The prestigious awards aim to identify and honor the most innovative and creative work in music videos and visual projects across 38 diverse categories. Music video creators worldwide are invited to submit their projects via the official website, www.ukmva.com, with a submission deadline of Friday, August 1st.

This year's awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th, at Magazine London, promising another grand celebration of the creative excellence and talent driving the music visual landscape.

The 2025 UKMVAs will feature 12 awards dedicated to directorial achievements in single music videos, categorized by genre including Pop, R&B/Soul/Jazz, Dance/Electronic, Rock, Alternative, Hip Hop/Grime/Rap, for both UK and international artists. Four additional awards will recognize Newcomer directors with less than four years of professional experience. Further accolades include awards for Best Live Music Video, Best Special Visual Project, and a brand-new Best Low Budget Video category for projects made for under £5,000.

Last year's ceremony saw Charli XCX, AntsLive, RM, The Chemical Brothers, and Fontaines D.C. emerge as big winners, each securing two awards for their individual videos and further recognition for their teams. Other notable UK artists honored included Ezra Collective, Depeche Mode, IDLES, Coldplay, Jade, Elbow, and Matilda Mann.

New for 2025, two awards will acknowledge outstanding on-screen presence: a Best Performance award for artists, actors, and ensemble casts, and an inaugural Best Casting award, recognizing the crucial contribution of casting directors.

Beyond individual video achievements, the UKMVA Jury will also honor individuals and companies for their exceptional body of work over the past year. Awards will be presented for Best New Director, Director, EP, Producer, and Creative Commissioner, alongside the coveted Best Production Company award, recognizing the team with the most impressive music visual output between August 2024 and 2025.
