This Feeling, the acclaimed platform for emerging talent, is marking its 10th anniversary of hosting a stage at the iconic Isle of Wight Festival. Known for consistently championing the next wave of music stars, This Feeling has become a crucial springboard for bands on their journey to festival main stages.
"Catch the best new bands on an intimate stage whilst you can because before you know it this lot will be making their way up and up those festival posters," notes Gigslutz, while Clash Magazine hails This Feeling as "way ahead of the curve for new band bookings." The proof is evident in the impressive list of acts who played the This Feeling stage long before their major breakthroughs, including The K's, Red Rum Club, Crawlers, The Royston Club, Billy Lockett, The Amazons, Yonaka, and The Sherlocks, among many others. For many, it was their very first festival performance.
John Giddings, promoter of the Isle of Wight Festival, expressed his unwavering support: "This Feeling are the best in the business when it comes to finding new artists and propelling them upwards... it's incredibly important that we support new music and the next generation of headliners here at the Isle of Wight Festival."
Mikey Jonns, founder of This Feeling, shared his pride in the milestone: "10 years on and I still pinch myself we've got a stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. It's a huge opportunity to give new acts their big break and it's a responsibility we take very seriously." He extended a heartfelt thank you to John Giddings for his continued belief and investment in new music.
This year, the This Feeling stage will feature a massive 45 new acts (plus two secret sets!), offering festival-goers their new music fix between the Big Top and Main Stage. Since 2015, This Feeling has provided opportunities for over 1000 acts from across the UK and beyond at major festivals, including Truck, Y Not, TRSMT, Tramlines, The Great Escape, and Reading & Leeds. For over 900 of these acts, it was their debut festival performance without a live agent.
