South London's acclaimed singer-songwriter and cultural icon, Joy Crookes, has officially announced her eagerly awaited second album, 'Juniper,' set for release on September 26th. The announcement comes alongside news of a comprehensive UK and European headline tour, promising fans an intimate and powerful live experience later this year.

'Juniper' is poised to reaffirm Crookes' status as one of the UK’s most vital and original voices. Following the widespread success of her 2021 debut, 'Skin,' which garnered BRIT and Mercury Prize nominations and climbed to the Top 5 in the UK charts, 'Juniper' pushes boundaries both musically and personally. Described as "emotionally raw and sonically rich; humorous, heartbreaking and profoundly human," the album sees Crookes at its very core, making for a truly visceral listening experience.

The album, predominantly written with a stripped-back approach, features collaborations with long-time producers Blue May, Tev'n, and Harvey Grant. It also boasts compelling guest appearances from Vince Staples on the incendiary 'Pass The Salt' and Kano on the bittersweet confessional 'Mathematics.' 'Juniper' delves deep into themes of body politics, mental health, queer love, anxiety, and the intense emotions of falling in love, reflecting a period of significant personal upheaval for Crookes during its creation.

Ahead of her upcoming performances at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Glastonbury, Crookes is preparing for a major tour that will see her play coveted venues including Dublin's Olympia, Glasgow's O2 Academy, Manchester's Academy 1, and, for the first time, London's iconic O2 Academy Brixton on November 18th, 2025. The tour will then extend across Europe, visiting cities such as Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Paris.

The latest single, 'Carmen,' is out now, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the depth and dynamism of 'Juniper.' Fans can listen and watch the accompanying visuals to tide them over until the full album drops this autumn.
