The Royston Club are gearing up to release their highly anticipated new album, ‘Songs For The Spine’, on August 8th. This announcement follows their impressive #16 chart debut with their first album, signaling a clear intent for even greater success. Fans can pre-order and pre-save the album now.

Alongside the album news, the Wrexham quartet has dropped their latest single, ‘Glued To The Bed’, which premiered on BBC 6 Music with Huw Stephens. The track serves as a bridge between their acclaimed debut and the new material, featuring an infectious guitar riff and powerful rhythms that underscore its emotional depth. As guitarist Ben Matthias explains, the song delves into the cynicism and raw aftermath of heartbreak, exploring the bittersweet push and pull of moving on versus holding onto what’s lost.

‘Songs For The Spine’ promises to be a significant evolution for the band. Produced by Rich Turvey (known for his work with Blossoms and Rachel Chinouriri), the album aims to capture the raw energy of their live performances while expanding their sonic landscape. Ben Matthias notes that the album’s songs are deeply personal, centering on the people and places that provide stability.

The Royston Club have also announced their biggest UK and European headline tour to date, including a significant show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. This comes after a string of sold-out shows and festival appearances, including Liverpool Sound City and London's Omeara, showcasing their rapidly growing and passionate fanbase. They’re set to play major festivals this summer, including Reading & Leeds, Latitude, and TRNSMT, and will be supporting acts like Bloc Party and Travis.

With ‘Songs For The Spine’ set for release and an extensive tour on the horizon, The Royston Club are poised to build on their breakout success and solidify their position as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the UK scene.
