Fresh off the back of their second UK Official Album Chart #1 with ‘KOKO’, indie rock heroes Lottery Winners have announced an intimate show at the iconic De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea on May 23rd. This special performance aims to raise vital funds for the SupaJam Foundation, an organisation dedicated to empowering young people aged 15-26 to overcome barriers and pursue careers within the music industry.
2025 has been a monumental year for the Leigh band, with their chart-topping success preceding a summer packed with high-profile appearances, including a stadium tour supporting Robbie Williams and a string of coveted festival slots. Now, the quartet are turning their attention to a cause close to their hearts.
The SupaJam Foundation provides a unique blend of music therapy, counselling, mentoring, and transformative experiences, supporting young individuals in unlocking their full potential, both personally and professionally. Their core belief resonates deeply with Lottery Winners frontman Thomas Rylance, who openly shares his personal struggles with ADHD during his school years. Rylance credits his music teacher, Mr Asbury, for believing in him and providing him with a guitar, a pivotal moment that set him on his path to musical success.
The profound impact of mentorship is a recurring theme in the Lottery Winners' story. Emotional moments include Rylance spotting Mr Asbury in the crowd after the release of ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’ and the heartwarming surprise when his former teacher presented the band with their first Gold disc at a Manchester gig last year.
"SupaJam are doing great things, supporting the youth when they need it most," says Rylance. "We are very happy to be part of the fundraising effort. Get down to the show and help make a difference in these young lives!"
Adding to the exciting lineup are special guests Crystal Tides. The Portsmouth-based band, known for their uplifting and high-energy sound reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club and The Wombats, are also passionate about the cause. Vocalist Billy Gregory states, "Music is a powerful force that shapes lives, and we believe it should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we were proud to support this incredible charity event in aid of the SupaJam Foundation."
The evening will be hosted by Radio X DJ John Kennedy and is presented in collaboration with new music champions This Feeling and Lakedown Brewing Co., the brewery run by The Who legend Roger Daltrey’s family. This event underscores a collaborative effort in Sussex between This Feeling, SupaJam Foundation, Black Deer Festival, Lakedown Brewing Co., and the De La Warr Pavilion to nurture young talent within the music industry. Tickets for this special benefit show are expected to be in high demand, offering fans a chance to see chart-topping artists while supporting a truly vital cause.
