Ella Eyre drops uplifting new single 'High On The Internet' featuring Jay Prince
19 May 2025
British pop powerhouse Ella Eyre has unveiled her latest single High On The Internet, featuring acclaimed rapper and producer Jay Prince. The soulful, jazz-infused track is out now via Play It Again Sam and marks the fourth release since Ella’s move into full artistic independence.
Described by The Times as “a reinvention” and by Clash as “a dynamic return,” High On The Internet is a breezy, upbeat anthem that explores the liberating joy of unplugging from the digital world. With smooth horns, catchy melodies and a confident vocal performance, Ella taps into themes of presence and personal reconnection — a message that feels especially resonant in today’s hyperconnected world.
“High On The Internet is the digital detox anthem I never knew I needed until I wrote it,” Ella says. “It’s about being present in the real world and setting boundaries with the internet. It’s a wholesome reminder that the very best things in life can’t be experienced via a screen.”
The track also features London-based Jay Prince, known for his genre-bending sound and introspective lyrics. A longtime friend and collaborator of Ella’s, Jay has previously worked with artists including Tyler, The Creator, Mura Masa, and Jay Electronica. His verse adds a laid-back, reflective contrast to the song’s swinging rhythm, further highlighting the theme of rediscovery.
Ella Eyre’s return to independence has allowed her the creative freedom to explore new directions, as seen in her recent singles domino szn and Head In The Ground — the latter of which was chosen as BBC Radio 1’s Track of the Week. Her live debut of Ain’t No Love That Blind at the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards signalled the start of a bold new chapter for the BRIT and MOBO Award-winning artist.
With more new music on the way and a busy year ahead, High On The Internet continues Ella Eyre’s evolution as one of the UK’s most compelling pop voices — now fully on her own terms.
