Bea and her Business has kicked off 2025 with a bang. Named in Amazon’s Artists To Watch and nominated for MTV Push for the UK and Ireland, Bea demonstrates precisely why she has become such a hot tip as she shares her new single ‘We’re Not The Same’.
By sharing her intensely personal experiences, Bea excels at finding the words to convey the chaotic emotions of young adulthood. Emboldened by sweeping strings and Bea’s ever glorious powerhouse vocals, the show-stopping drama of ‘We’re Not The Same’ provides comfort in sound. In this case, it’s the hurt felt when drifting apart from a once close friend but reassuring that it’s ok to feel sadness for what you’ve lost as you move onto life’s next chapter. Continuing the musical partnership of her recent single ‘Safety Net’, Bea wrote the song with Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa, Charli XCX) and the multiple Grammy winning producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Harry Styles).
Bea says, “‘We’re Not The Same’ is about growing apart from a childhood best friend. We went from being totally inseparable to biting each other’s heads off 24/7. It all became quite toxic and I was so exhausted by the end which is what I think this song encapsulates. This song is coming to terms with the fact that growing up and maturing can sometimes mean you lose a friendship that you once valued a lot.”
2025 is shaping up to amplify the impact that Bea made in 2024. Exceeding 100 million streams and 2 million followers, Bea’s fanbase expanded in tandem with growing acclaim, including repeated airplay and a Tune of the Week at Radio 1, major accolades from Spotify, Amazon Music and Instagram.
The Gen Z pop chameleon’s following are just as passionate at live shows too. In the space of a year, her audience in Londongrew five fold as she rose from Omeara to sell out KOKO. And that was no one-off as she also packed venues in Manchesterand Glasgow, across Europe, and through to her debut shows in New York and Los Angeles.
