Award-winning UK electronic music heavyweights Rudimental reunite with drum n bass producer Skepsis for their latest offering, ‘Vex’ featuring Birmingham rapper MIST and dancehall legend Popcaan.
‘Vex’ overflows with high-octane energy, a marriage of punchy production stylings between Skepsis and Rudimental. With MIST’s signature rap flow and Popcaan’s revered vocal stylings, their vigorous new single signals what’s coming from the chart-conquering group. The Hackney trio have teased their single during their live sets at Parklife and at Snowfest Festival in Poland earlier this year. Not stopping there, they previously joined forces with Skepsis on their collaboration ‘Green & Gold’ featuring Charlotte Plank, Riko Dan, and CP.
Awarded BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, ‘Vex’ follows previous offerings ‘The Feeling’ with 1991, PNAU & AR/CO, ‘Ram Pam’ featuring Mystic Marley & Flowdan and ‘Bring Me Joy’ featuring Karen Harding.
As one of the UK’s most successful dance acts of the last decade, Rudimental have set the bar high. Multiple chart entries, two #1 albums, three #1 singles, 5 billion streams, world tours, platinum-selling singles, and a plethora of awards have cemented their position as global trailblazers with a formidable reputation for producing hit records.
Rudimental appeared at several festivals this summer, including Parklife, Glastonbury, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Capital FM’s Summertime Ball, Belgium’s Rampage Festival, Let It Roll in the Czech Republic and returned to Ibiza to perform at Defected @ Ushuaia. Closer to home, the band performed a special pop-up DJ event for fans at Crate Brewery in Hackney and headlined this year’s The Dusty Knuckle Fundraiser. Rudimental have returned to the US for a run of headline shows, having already performed shows in Toronto and Brooklyn and have recently announced a headline tour across Australia and New Zealand next February.
Rudimental’s new Skepsis-assisted offering, ’Vex’ kicks off an incredibly exciting new chapter for one of the UK’s most successful dance acts.
