Dressed in a custom designed outfit by Lous Gabriel Nouchi/LGN (featuring 26 metre-long cape based around the French flag), Myd was honoured to represent his host country and France’s peerless electronic music culture as the only DJ to perform at the opening ceremony - which was televised and broadcast to millions around the globe as well as to attendees at the sold-out stadium.
Of the special moment, Myd says:
“It was one of the most unbelievable moments of my life. To play a part in this celebration of the athletes, of France and of French music & culture…I felt very honoured. It was a party of unity, togetherness and diversity - and I had the best time. Let the games begin!"
Myd’s set included his own hits ‘The Sun’ (a Platinum-selling hit in his home country of France), ‘Together We Stand’, ‘I Made It’ plus tracks from his peers and compatriots such as Polo & Pan, Chloé Caillet, DJ Snake, Busy P, Mirwais and more.
