Headie One releases new track from ‘The Last One’ and reveals album tracklist
22 June 2024
Headie One has today announced the third track to be taken from his forthcoming album, The Last One. Tipsy features the British rapper Aitch and is available now on DSPs via Columbia Records. In contrast to the reflective themes of the album, the Toddla T and Sammy SoSo produced track reveals Headie’s lighter side, as shown in the accompanying video shot in Marbella last month.
Revealed in full this week, The Last One tracklist features a strong contingent of British heavyweights including Stormzy, D-Block Europe, Sampha and Potter Payper - American R&B star Fridayy, and Nigerian artists Bnxn, Odumudoblxck and Tay Iwar. The record also features global superstar producer Skrillex on ‘Make A W’ along with AJ Tracey and BEAM. It’s a lineup that reflects Headie’s ambitions to both honour the streets where he made his name and also address an audience across the world.
The new album completes the narrative of Headie’s story from ‘‘The One’ to present day. From pain and regret to progression and finally, a new chapter and a new beginning. He has touched on some of the subjects and circumstances in previous projects but the lyrics on ‘The Last One’ aim to dig deeper. The artwork also signifies the arrival at a destination. One where he now stands alone, free from the oppression of his past and on the horizon of a new life.
