Marc Almond announced for Radio 2’s Piano Room

On his BBC Radio 2 show today, Vernon Kay announced that on Thursday 11th July, Marc Almond will be the latest star to perform in the summer run of Radio 2’s Piano Room, which today featured Alison Moyet.

Playing alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Maida Vale studios, Marc will be performing one of his previous hits, a new single and a classic cover.

Brit Award winning Marc is known as one half of the synth-pop/new wave duo Soft Cell as well as a solo artist, and has sold over 30 million records worldwide across a career spanning over four decades. His Piano Room performance will also be available to hear on BBC Sounds and watch on BBC iPlayer.
