Acclaimed singer-songwriter Imelda May will be joining Jools Holland and his renowned Rhythm & Blues Orchestra on their 2024 Autumn/Winter UK tour, replacing Marc Almond as the special guest for a series of six highly anticipated performances in November.

One of Ireland’s most celebrated artists, Imelda May’s first major career break came when she was discovered by Jools, who invited him to support her on tour. Since then, she has performed alongside legendary artists such as Lou Reed, Bono, Tom Jones, Noel Gallagher, and Robert Plant.

Bringing her dynamic sound to the stage, Imelda is set to captivate audiences with her unique blend of blues, rock, soul, gospel, and jazz. Her self-written and produced album "Love Tattoo" remains the best-selling album by a homegrown female artist in Ireland, while her latest album, "11 Past the Hour," marked her fourth Number 1 album in Ireland and her fourth Top 10 in the UK.

Imelda joins for a string of six dates throughout November, performing in Stoke, Reading, Guildford, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Southampton.

Jools Holland expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition: “I am thrilled to welcome Imelda May to our tour. Her incredible talent and energy are sure to bring an exciting new dimension to our shows. I have had the pleasure of knowing and performing with Imelda for many years, our audiences are in for a treat.”
