Following the recent announcement of her third studio album This Is How Tomorrow Moves, out Friday 16th August via Dirty Hit, Beabadoobee shares the record’s second single ‘Coming Home’. Channelling her love for The Beatles, ‘Coming Home’ is a sweet, nostalgic track with a flourish of muted trumpet, and is about missing loved ones while on the road.
Beabadoobee shares: “I wrote it in a hotel room in LA when I was away from my boyfriend, my loved ones, my two cats. It opens with all the little mundane things like doing the dishes, that I miss because I’m always away. Really, it’s just a cute little love song with a weird non-existent structure.”
Beabadoobee has also announced a headline tour of North America to take place in September, seeing her return to LA’s Greek Theatre and play at NYC’s Summerstage in Central Park and comes with support from one of her favourite bands, Hovvdy. Tickets on sale Thursday 6th June at 10am local time, full list of dates below.
She returned to the live stage at the end of May to headline the New Music stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, debuting recent single ‘Take A Bite’ live for the first time. This August Beabadoobee opens for Mitski at London’s All Points East festival and headlines the Radio 1 stage at Reading and Leeds.
Last month the tracklist for This Is How Tomorrow Moves was revealed exclusively on a surprise Spotify billboard in the LA skyline. See below for full tracklist. This Is How Tomorrow Moves finds Beabadoobee stepping up to a new level in her abilities as a songwriter, crafting arresting melodies and pushing herself to develop and explore new frontiers of vulnerability, both in her storytelling and her relationship with herself.
Produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin and long term collaborator and bandmate Jacob Bugden, Beabadoobee swaps her bedroom for his infamous Shangri-La studio in Malibu to create a deeply self-assured record with a vast sonic scope of rock and pop.

This Is How Tomorrow Moves stands as a testament to Beabadoobee’s artistic evolution and resilience, marking a significant milestone in her career. It captures a journey through confidence and introspection, with themes of self-acceptance and personal growth woven throughout, in parts a love letter to her younger self and all that she’s been through.
On This is How Tomorrow Moves, Beabadoobee is comfortable in taking the reins of this next stage of her life. “I love this album,” she says, simply, “I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman.”
“I think I’m more aware of my actions in these songs,” Bea adds, “In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people's doings, like a blame game. But in this record, it's accepting that there's an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether it's childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango in everything.”
