Today, Dublin-born and London-based interdisciplinary artist Fears (Constance Keane) unveils another single from her highly anticipated forthcoming album affinity out March 22nd via TULLE titled “cliff”.

Fears enlists Polish-born multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and composer Aga Ujma who offers her delicate harp playing to the ethereal song Constance wrote in December of 2022 about, “leaving something before you know it’s going to completely implode. I think it’s quite rare to be able to actually pull it off and have it work out, and thankfully this time it did.” The accompanying video shot and directed by Colleen Lee is a further exploration of the relationship between Fears’ physical surroundings and the work she produces. You see reflections of Fears and Aga as they perform from a rooftop backdropped by London’s awe-inspiring skyline and features costumes designed and created by Fears’ herself.

“cliff” featuring Aga Ujma follows the intensely moving “11249” and the hauntingly beautiful “4th of the 1st”, all lifted from her forthcoming album that features appearances from Jemima Coulter, Ailbhe Reddy and Sophie Gwen Williams. Following her critically acclaimed 2021 debut album Oíche that landed in the UK vinyl album charts, Fears has crafted 10 self-produced tracks, written and recorded between London, New York, ?and Dublin that make up affinity. Drawing on human connection, intimacy, and?moments of peace in a city, she combines reflective electronics, acoustic samples, and stirring vocals with organic visuals, blurring the boundaries between music and visual art. Her minimalist yet striking approach centres on emotive subjects which are all-at-once deeply personal yet remarkably universal.

Gaining a reputation for immersive live shows, she has gone on to perform at Eurosonic, SXSW, Other Voices, Body & Soul, Quarter Block Party, Ireland Music Week, and more. This year she will take to the road to perform songs from her forthcoming record affinity for the very first time, making stops in London, Dublin and Glasgow.
