Terri Walker returns with 'Rhythm of Change' (Zed Bias Remix)
04 March 2024
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Terri Walker returns following the release of her vicennial 20th anniversary album My Love Story, with the release of 'Rhythm of Change' (Zed Bias Remix). Out now via Wings of a Hummingbird Records/Believe UK.
Collaborating with famed Mancunian electronic producer, Zed Bias, on the rework of the track, Terri said:
"It's been such an honour to have Zed remix this track, and for us to have connected and worked on it organically. I always find it important, and love working amongst people that really understand what I'm about; they understand that it's not a race, it's literally a marathon. ‘Rhythm of Change’ is also one of those tracks that expresses exactly what it means in the song: “running in circles now in the rhythm of change, no disrupting the sound in the rhythm of change”, so the fact that Zed is on this, and everything has aligned, and the album is still doing its thing a year later means so much to me, alongside this new remix.
This song means a lot too – it has allowed me to be myself, unapologetically and authentically, without feeling forced to do something just to get ahead. So, this is a really special one. Out of all the remixes, it’s also my favourite because of the way it drops, and it takes me effortlessly into the drum and bass world!"
Produced by Konny Kon & Tyler Daley – widely recognised as Children of Zeus, 'Rhythm of Change' showcases Terri's versatility as an artist, with its instantly infectious beat, sensual samba flair, catchy hook, and amalgamation of Terri’s melting pot of sounds. A song about “trusting the process of your purpose [because] it knows what it’s doing,” on this her vocals are smooth, sultry and emanate freedom – a standout on the album and is given a new lease on life with Zed’s drum and bass touch.
There's more to come for Terri this year, with the forthcoming release of her 20th anniversary album rework 'My Love Story' (Zed Bias Remix), set for release April 14th, and upcoming live dates this summer.
