Award-winning British rapper POTTER PAYPER strikes back with his highly- anticipated new mixtape ‘Thanks For Hating’ out now via his newly formed label, 36 The Label. Accompanying the release is the visual for ‘Midas Touch’ featuring ADMT. A cinematic and dazzling offering, directed by KC Locke.

‘Thanks For Hating’ is the official follow-up to 2021 mixtape ‘Thanks For Waiting’ which debuted at #8 in the UK Official Album Charts, earning Potter his second top ten project, launching him to entirely new heights. Once again, he brings together an all-star line-up of talent from across the country, including Headie One, Clavish, Slim, Birmingham-risers Marnz Malone, KayMuni and more.

Potter is no overnight success and today sees him stepping into a new chapter - one focused on redemption, vindication and sees him take back control. Raising the bar once again, the new mixtape is a further testament to his commitment to music over the last decade, despite the continuous setbacks. He’s betting on himself, surpassing all expectations and proving to anyone who has ever doubted him, that he will stand the test of time. In his typical unflinching style - rapping with such purpose and conviction that would stop anyone dead in their tracks - the project is a straight-talking reflection of the environment Potter was raised in and proof that he really is in a league of his own.

In what Potter describes as the “comeback of the century”, ‘Thanks For Hating’ is another fierce collection of defiant rap, fuelled with vivid and eloquent narratives of his life to date. ‘Kid In A Court’ details the gravity of his childhood and his first ever experiences within the UK prison system, ‘My Aunty Gave Me Legal Aid’ is a frank account of dealing with loss, having your faith tested and finding solace in those closest to you. ‘Rappers Will Be Rappers’ sees him deliver his classic chronicles of street politics, ‘Free Double M’ illustrates his love of literature, whilst ‘My City’s Not Safe’ details the outgrowing of your environment.

It’s been a monumental past twelve months. The new mixtape is his first full-length release since his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Real Back In Style’, which earlier this month won Album of The Year at the 2024 MOBO Awards. The record was a defining moment for every Potter Payper fan, everywhere. Debuting at #2 in the UK Official Album Chart and making history as the Highest Charting British Rap Album without a feature, the record was one of his boldest and most considered bodies of work yet. An intentional leap forward from his previous projects, it was an incredibly powerful and important record that addressed a number of crucial topics that have stemmed from Potter’s own personal experiences.

Armed with one of the most important voices of his generation, Potter Payper is a talent impossible to ignore.
