Today, rising star Abby Roberts has released dreamy indie track ‘lose myself in you’ featuring re6ce, listen here. The new song, produced by Noah Terefe and mixed by Nathan Phillips (Omar Apollo, Remi Wolf, Jean Dawson), features Abby’s signature soft vocals paired with a moody 80s-influenced instrumental. ‘lose myself in you’ joins previously released singles 'volatile' and 'Imposter Syndrome', both released last year as Abby entered her new musical era.

Speaking on the new song, Abby says “’lose myself in you’ is a song I wrote at a time when I was feeling like I needed a distraction from my own darker feelings and turned to excessively dating to fill that void, but in the process found myself acting like a different version of me in front of each new person I met… which as you can imagine did not solve any problems at all. I was listening to loads of re6ce’s music at the time and was super inspired by their production so decided they had to jump on the track. It’s my first ever collaboration with another artist in the music world and I honestly could think of a better person to have done it with!”

'lose myself in you', 'volatile', and 'Imposter Syndrome' present Abby at her best, giving a hint of what’s to come. 'Imposter Syndrome', co-written with friend and mentor Halsey and produced by Sammy Witte (Harry Styles’ co-writer and producer), was Abby’s first release since 2022’s debut EP Ashes. The pop rock EP included tracks 'Paramaniac', 'Pink Champagne', and 'Video Girl' and perfectly demonstrated Abby’s musical abilities to her audience.

Hailing from Leeds, the 22-year-old make-up artist turned pop rock musician began her career at the micro age of 11, turning out experimental artwork on her face for YouTube, Instagram and later TikTok, where she grew a dedicated following of over 16.5 million. Currently on Instagram she’s sitting pretty on 2 million followers, with 819k YouTube subscribers and 74k Spotify monthly listeners. It wasn’t until 2020, as Roberts was reaching creative burn out, that she returned to her dream of creating music. With help from producers Tim Woodcock and Noah Terefe, Abby built up her confidence within her songwriting and found her sound, blending her influences of Lana Del Rey, Mazzy Star, Nirvana, Radiohead, and Arctic Monkeys. Her laid-back melancholic debut EP Ashes gained approval from Halsey, who later asked Abby to support them on tour. Since then, as Abby’s career has rocketed. Abby has since smashed performances at Romania’s Summer In The City 2023, Brighton’s Great Escape Festival and Reading & Leeds Festival and has previously opened up for the likes of beabadoobe, Pale Waves, The Marias, and, most recently, Gus Dapperton. In August 2023, Abby Roberts returned with indie track ‘Imposter Syndrome’, co-created with Halsey, presenting her inventiveness, relatability, and star quality.
