Tokyo-raised Dublin-based Tomonori unleashes new single Of Being Made (YDTHXGRT remix) listen on

Apple Music this festive season. Tomonori’s smooth, distant vocals are perfectly matched with collaborator and French producer YDTHXGRT’s soundscape of synth-led Reggaeton/Afrobeats to create a dystopian daydream of a song.

This release is a remix of a song of the same name and entry point into Tomonori’s world building album Immense Dwelling. The song is a philosophical look at life and death, written from the main character's living self's point of view. The minions of "white teeth" and "sweet tooth" mentioned in the lyrics symbolise the deteriorating health and changing preferences with age.
Similarly, The artist's concluding statement, "Life's in the eye of the beholder," emphasises the interconnected nature of life and death, with the character recognising their dependence on other living beings. The trippy artwork by Giovanni Simoncelli mirrors these themes too.
Tomonori’s background in Jazz fuses with modern influences from the world of gaming and technology while his storytelling and philosophical take on songwriting makes for a thought provoking aural experience. The song is mixed and mastered by artist/producer & Quickfix Recordings head honcho Lee Christian (Kellindo Parker, Jennie Matthias etc).
