One of the planet’s most forward-thinking, iconic, fun and unique festival experiences - Clockenflap Festival is set to return to the stunning city of Hong Kong this December, rounding out the year with the last dates on the major festival calendar by bringing together an eclectic and driven lineup always looking to celebrate the diverse and the standout.

After a rapturously received return in March for the first time in nearly 5 years with a sold-out edition, Clockenflap returns to its acclaimed home at the end of the year - bringing together international legends, industry game-changers, the very best in thrilling Asian talent and the future favourites destined to soundtrack and define music culture for years to come. Showcasing creativity at its very core, the three-day celebration comes together in the heart of Hong Kong - for one of the world’s must-see cultural weekends.

Coming together from around the world is a lineup that reflects a true mix of genre, style and era. From 90s British icons Pulp, heading to Hong Kong for an exclusive Asian date in the midst of a joyous reunion tour full of art-rock swagger and indie-hooks galore, to Japanese sensation Joji whose global reach continues to storm records and worldwide charts and J-Pop phenomenon Yoasobi, the vast array of sights and sounds makes Clockenflap unrivalled.

With her new second solo album ‘Desire, I Want To Turn Into You’ standing amongst the most celebrated of 2023, Caroline Polachek heads to Hong Kong with her show-stopping live show sitting as one of the best on the planet right now. Equally, the explosive fire of IDLES comes to Clockenflap, fresh with new music, as they kick-start their most exciting chapter to date complete with their trademark feverish post-punk energy mixed with emotional heart. Swooning alt-songwriter Alex G is sure to serve up a dreamy cocktail that’ll have Clockenflap hooked from the very first note, while US hip-hop legends De La Soul are set to make a triumphant return to the festival this year, following their incredible performance back in 2013. Two of the UK’s most beloved guitar voices round out 2023 in a manner that needs to be seen to be believed - with both Yard Act and Squid essential viewing at Clockenflap 2023. Stacked from top to bottom, there’s something for everyone to discover their next favourite artist. Whether it’s breakthrough pop sensation Tom Grennan, the big-time fizz of The Beths, feel-good fun of Tones & I or the rich mix of D4VD, Andy Shauf, BBNO$, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Peking Duk, Novo Amor and many more - Clockenflap welcomes the world to an all-out, creative celebration.

Where Clockenflap shines is its tastemaker reputation to not only pick-out the artists from around the world already defining modern culture, but also to serve as the measuring stick for the very best in talent from across Asia. From trailblazing phenomenons and heavily acclaimed favourites to the must-see new voices coming to define not only music but the changing people within them - Clockenflap is the only place to look. This year, led by one of the festival’s headliners Japanese superduo Yoasobi, the festival boasts one of the most influential bands in Chinese rock history Omnipotent Youth Society - playing back to back with another seminal Chinese punk force in The Fly. A rare opportunity to catch both playing together, and with the latter celebrating their 30th Anniversary, it marks Clockenflap out as the definitive event for Asia’s rich musical talent. Generation-defining Taiwanese indie favourites No Party For Cao Dong come to Clockenflap for the first time since 2016, bringing with them a formidable award-winning history as the voice of disaffected youth for so many. Whether it’s Thai alt-rock trailblazers Tilly Birds, the hotly-tipped live must see’s Atarashii Gakko!, J-pop mavericks Wednesday Campanella, electronica/dream-pop duo Running Youth, Chinese alt-rap one-to-watch Lexie Liu, post-punk thrivers Gong Gong Gong or Hong Kong’s own Xiaolin, Yack Studio, and Whizz to name but a few - there’s a wealth of artists to discover, all at the top of their game and bound to bring it in a huge way at Clockenflap Festival this December.
