Bound & Gagged are delighted to announce Camille O’Sullivan’s return to the award-winning Union Chapel next year. Raunchy & dangerously fragile with an exceptional voice, Camille is a courageous and singular performer, one of the most gifted interpreters of narrative songs about loss, love, joy, light and darkness. Camille will perform in the stunning surroundings of London’s Union Chapel on March 4th 2024.
Known as the "Queen of the Edinburgh Festival" (BBC) and the original star of Olivier Award-winning LaClique, Camille O’Sullivan enjoys a formidable reputation for her intensely dramatic interpretations of the songs of Brel, Cave, Waits, Bowie, Edith Piaf and more. The multi-award-winning singer has stunned audiences around the world with her five-star sell-out performances, including at The Sydney Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, La Clique & Royal Albert Hall. In addition, Camille won the coveted ‘Herald Angel’ award for her RSC solo performance ‘The Rape of Lucrece’. A former award-winning architect and painter, this dark and mesmerizing, French/ Irish Londoner, transforms each song she performs into an intense, emotional and theatrical experience.
At one of London’s most magnificent venues, Camille O’Sullivan will take to the stage with both hymnal and rock renditions of her much-loved classics. For the extra special evening, Camille has chosen music from her favourite writers Cave, Cohen, Bowie, Radiohead, Brel and Arcade Fire, along with some new originals for this spectacular one-off intimate evening of song.
