City Morgue unleashes anxiously-awaited new single 'Haha Waco'
27 August 2023
The most dangerous duo in rap and rock City Morgue—ZillaKami and SosMula—uncork their anxiously awaited new song “HAHA WACO” today via Hikari Ultra/Republic Records.
To coincide with the release, they announce the release of their upcoming new album MY BLOODY AMERICA today.
On their new single “HAHA WACO,” the pair’s incisive bars bleed out a violin sample topped off with the insidiously infectious chant, “Knock knock, ha ha ha ha.”
Their previous track “SKULL & BONES 322” has piled over 4.8 million streams, with Revolver dubbing it a “Trap-Metal Banger” and proclaimed, “Over a hard-hitting beat, the single finds the gruesome twosome dropping braggadocious threats.” HotNewHipHop also applauded, “Right off the bat, you are treated to an aggressive song that is absolutely going to get you off the couch. Overall, ZillaKami and SosMula sound incredible here as they bounce off of each.”
This marks the pair’s first new music since 2021’s CITY MORGUE VOLUME 3: BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. Beyond posting up over 100 million streams and counting, it earned widespread critical acclaim. LDN noted, “The expectations were pretty high, but they’ve delivered something amazing,” and Our Generation Music observed, “it seems like City Morgue is finding themselves more as artists with each passing project.” Legends Never Die put it best, “I never heard anyone fuse trap with metal music in the way that they did.”
