Double MOBO award winner and Queen of UK garage Kele le Roc has joined the cast of British feature film ‘Look To the Light’. Produced by Agency 105, 101 Films International, QFilm & Jeremy Davis at Homesick Angel, ‘Look To the Light’ follows a wannabe influencer whose hunger for fame threatens to leave his personal life in ruins.

The film explores themes of the dangers of reality TV, social media toxicity, and Gen Z’s mental health struggles; themes close to le Roc’s heart as an artist who has grown up in the spotlight.

“I’m proud to be a part of anything that brings real stories to the forefront of the public consciousness.” Says le Roc. “I’ve been a part of the entertainment industry my whole adult life and I’m fortunate to be at peace with the artist I developed into. Young people of today with dreams and ambition have a much tougher journey ahead…”

Kele le Roc first came onto the scene with her hit ‘Let Me Know’ before following it up two UK Singles Chart top 10s ‘Little Bit of Lovin’ and ‘My Love’ and releasing her album ‘Everybody’s Somebody’ on Polydor Records. Kele has also been awarded Best Newcomer and Best Singer and the MOBO awards and collaborated with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Coolio, and Courtney Pine. Most recently, Kele Le Roc has released her single ‘I Wanna B UR Lover’ – the second in a trilogy dedicated to her music idol Prince.

‘Look To The Light’ begins production July 2023 on location in Wiltshire. Starring alongside Kele are Charlie Goddard (Barbie, Netflix’s Jingle Jangle), Lucy Benjamin (Eastenders, Detectorists), Mark Moraghan (Holby City, Brookside), Marion Fagbemi (Hairspray, Wonka), Sharon Duce (Coronation Street, Emmerdale), Michael Crawshaw (The Overtones, Solitary Confinement), and Lily Blunsom-Washbrook (Almost Never, Witness for the Prosecution).
