Montreux Jazz Festival today announces that Morcheeba, Pip Millett and Joesef will join the programme for the 57th edition of the prestigious Swiss festival, which takes place this year from 30th June – 15th July 2023 on the Lake Geneva shoreline.
The evening of 12th July at the Auditorium Stravinski promises to be even more memorable with the extraordinary presence of Morcheeba, who will be performing ahead of Seal. Morcheeba have sold over 10 million albums across their career, with founding members Skye Edwards and guitarist Ross Godfrey most recently joining forces to release the critically acclaimed LP Blackest Blue in 2021. Like Seal, Skye Edwards has one of the smoothest and most recognisable voices on the planet, in a show that is not one to be missed.
Also joining the programme is Pip Millett, who will support Sam Smith on 5th July at the Auditorium Stravinski. The Manchester-based singer cites Joni Mitchell, Lauryn Hill and Otis Redding as her inspirations, with Millett weaving in elements from all three musical icons on her debut LP When Everything Is Better, I’ll Let You Know, whilst bringing her own distinctive and blissful fusion of R&B and soul.
On 9th July , Scottish singer Joesef will take to The Lab stage ahead of Juliette Armanet. The British pop-soul artist has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting UK prospects, with Elton John confessing he was “in love” with his voice. Joesef recently performed as part of the MJF Spotlight Sessions in Villars, Switzerland, which is available to watch here.
The free programme for Montreux Jazz Festival will be unveiled on 1st June and will feature over 400 concerts, DJ sets and activities.
