When it comes to electronic music, artists produce catchy beats and danceable tunes. But for Hoang, it's not just about making music that sounds good. This rising star in the music scene has a heart for positive impact and creating art that truly resonates with his fans.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Mike Hoang has been producing and writing music since the age of 8. With classical training in piano, he blends crossover genres while maintaining a core sound that is uniquely his. Most of the time, he writes music that captures moments in life as he reminisces about his life.

Hoang's music has garnered him much recognition in the industry. Since his electronic pop debut, "Don't Say", featuring acclaimed vocalist Nevve, he has accumulated over 100 million collective streams. Hoang has released a handful of hit records over the last few years, such as "Million Days" (released on Monstercat), "Run Back to You”, "Hard Part's Over" (Lost in Dreams), and "People Change" (released on Ophelia Records) with superstar vocalist, RUNN.

Aside from writing records, Hoang has also supported ELEPHANTE on a 15-city tour across the US and sold out multiple venues for his own headline shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Minneapolis. He has played at places like the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, the Bill Graham Civic in San Francisco, Stereolive in Dallas and Houston, Webster Hall in New York City, and the Showbox Theatre in Seattle.

People pursuing creative careers often face challenges. The pressure to create and succeed can lead to self-doubt and negative thoughts, which can hinder an artist's ability to produce their best work.

For Hoang, this challenge manifested early in his career as a producer and DJ. Despite having a passion for music from a young age and producing and writing music since the age of eight, he still faced anxiety and self-doubt when taking on bigger projects.

However, rather than letting these negative thoughts consume him, Hoang found ways to overcome them and grow as an artist. He continued to push himself out of his comfort zone, taking on more demanding projects and collaborating with other artists to expand his musical horizons.

For his future aspirations, Hoang sees himself continuing to make music he loves and performing to experience his life through music. He also wants to create a platform where he can help other artists grow in the scene. Being an Asian American artist is something not often seen within the electronic music scene, and Hoang wants to change that.

With a heart for positive impact and a desire to give back to the industry, Hoang is truly a rising star worth keeping an eye on. Check out his social media profiles to stay updated on his latest music releases and upcoming shows. You can find him on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Spotify.
