IAMDDB returns to her urban jazz roots with soulful harmonies over honeyed RNDM beats and Alex Naim drum and bass filled production. Written by IAMDDB and mixed & mastered by Marrik, “W.D.T.L.G” is an introspective yet feel-good track about believing in oneself.
As well as being vulnerable enough to admit to people, especially yourself, how you really feel whilst honouring those emotions and working through them, she vocalises that maintaining the connection to the higher power is the ultimate form of self-love. The track is a love letter from her higher self to remind her of her strength and abilities whilst overcoming karmic cycles.
W.D.T.L.G rests at the vibration of number 2. Synchronically debuting on Valentine's Day, the song represents self-care, healing, letting go and protecting yourself. DDB wants listeners to know that it is okay to be alone because self-love is the catalyst to growth. Spending time with yourself, holding yourself accountable and taking care of your mind, body, soul, and spirit attracts the abundance you deserve. IAMDDB radiates being in touch with her emotions and overcoming all the B.S- including herself, to move on and claim what is hers. Let IAMDDB’s new single remind you to be gentle and delicate with yourself, as you would a flower.
“Where Did The Love Go?” is the lead single for her long-awaited Volume 6 that is set to debut in 2023. The songstress announced the new volume via twitter. Her sixth body of work will have 3 features, with a diverse pallet of vibrations spanning from urban jazz to vibrant trap.
IAMDDB says “Volume 6 is a full spectrum of emotions and feelings I had to feel and heal through. It’s me finally giving DDB a voice without a filter. I have always been a multidimensional creative, so I hope this project offends everyone who is living in denial and inspires everyone who stands firm in their truth to shine brighter, UNAPOLOGETICALLY!!!”
