More about Amanda Fils-Aime:

Amanda Fils-Aime is an American musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer based in Virginia. As a self-taught producer and performer, she’s acquired diverse musical influences which helped hone her musical style blending Soft Rock, Pop, and RnB. Her soulful voice is instantly recognizable, drawing listeners in to partake in her universal lyricism on love and liberation. She attributes her inspiration to begin songwriting after seeing Sarah McLachlan on MTV and 90’s RnB.

Growing up in Arkansas, her family encouraged her to play the guitar and piano after noticing she had an affinity for music. In her teenage years, she continued to work on her songwriting until she joined the United States Navy. During her time in the military, she performed numerous national anthems, including the Black National Anthem, pinning ceremonies, and the funeral of a fallen comrade. She also recorded her first EP and sold 500 CDs out of the trunk of her car before the era of DSP's during this this time.

After getting out the service, she landed a gig opening for the legendary En Vogue, Christopher Williams, and Carl Thomas through the help of mentors and friends who could see her potential. Shortly after, she linked with American record producer, Nottz Raw. Nottz has produced for some of the biggest names in hip hop, including Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Royce da 5'9", Pusha T, among many others. This was an important time for Amanda developing as an artist and producer since they worked and produced together for a little over a year. She also recorded the vocals used on the track 'Feel Good' by Rah Digga. Eventually, the relationship faded and Amanda turned her sights on finishing college. Soon after graduating, she went back to focusing on her songwriting and experimenting with different musical styles to carve out her sound.

Amanda has since released 3 independent songs since 2018. Once the pandemic hit, she fully submersed herself into learning how to engineer her own projects and built a home studio, embarking on the journey of becoming self-reliant and taking change. Thus, new songs came to fruition, including her new single 'Thinking About You', which is ushering in a new era of better songs and fresh vision for this emerging artist.
