Effortlessly cool, unclassifiable, chameleonic and darling Argentine artist Nathy Peluso asserts her dominance on a raw rap track she wrote in a few hours, and also self-produced, "Estás Buenismo." Set with intention, to write bars and have a good time, Peluso delivers a continuation of confidence for women. The Barcelona-living singer, songwriter, dancer, rapper and mafiosa, flips the male gaze once again, visually and musically displaying her magnetism in the art of seduction in a clear statement of intent!
'I found myself with the concept... talking about a guy that I find super sexy,' Nathy Peluso describes the meaning behind 'Estás Buenisimo'. 'The fact that there aren't many women singing songs to men, telling them they're hot. But there are a lot of songs the other way around. It's interesting to show that perspective, from a natural side, but also in a satirical and ironic way. It's trying to normalize the fact that women can also flirt, say what we're thinking about a person that we like. Without having to repress ourselves to fit in an established behavior just to fit in.'
The accompanying music video shows a dominant and self-confident Nathy Peluso in the act of seduction, the object of desire being the international actor and model Jon Kortajarena. This visual companion has a neat, clean, hypnotic and eighties-inspired aesthetic. At times, echoes and influences of the more rebellious side of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, can be perceived. A scorcher of a production co-produced with Little Spain.
Last February, Playstation released 'Emergencia'. Now, with 'Estás Buenísimo', the Argentinian closes the Calambre era (2020), her debut album. With over 390 million streams, the album has earned her a Latin Grammy in 2021 as Best Alternative Album, a nomination in the 2022 US Latin Grammy, and five more nominations in 2021.
El Último Calambre will offer a unique opportunity to experience this song live as part of an extensive repertoire featuring the classics of “La Sandunguera”. On 10 December at the Wizink Center in Madrid, Nathy Peluso will round off an extensive national and international tour with dates in London, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, and a prominent presence at the most renowned festivals such as Coachella, Ceremonia in Mexico, Sónar and BBK Live.
