Yung Rizzo is a rapper, songwriter, and producer who creates Hip-Hop, R&B and fused-EDM music. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Jose Dumlao III, better known as Yung Rizzo started making music when he was in middle school, with influences from household hip-hop names and support from his family, he began performing in talent shows. It wasn’t until late high school where he began to start writing and producing his own music, he would learn to engineer and mix within the DAW programs so he didn’t have to rely on others. During his college years, he began to throw events with close friends under the imprint, Fly High Music Group. Eventually, this led to heavy promotion of his music which opened up doors such as landing shows and getting booked on tours.

In late 2011, while on tour performing at several festivals in the Philippines, Yung Rizzo was invited to perform on the televised show “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman.” His performance was well received by audiences, the song “Game Over” was praised by John Nite and German Moreno aka Kuya Germs of GMA. The following year, Yung Rizzo would return to the US and focus on his family. He would still produce and create music but did not release anything until 2016. As the music began to pick up more traction, he decided to bring his music to digital platforms, where he would find further success.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, his song “Still Here” was released and debuted on the Spotify Charts, Viral 50. The listeners continued to grow worldwide and caught the attention of A&R’s at Warner Music Philippines. The release of his song “I’mma Make It” charted No.1 on iTunes Hip-Hop (Philippines) and went No.1 on FM radio stations in Manila, Philippines in Spring of 2021. With no major backing or budget, the success of his music releases has garnered over millions of streams across music platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music and eventually landed him options with several different music labels.

Yung Rizzo signed a distribution deal with Sony Music Entertainment’s AWAL in 2022, it's because of his entrepreneurial motive, he has remained independent with his music label, Fly High Music Group and since then started his own publishing administration, JD3 Music. Yung Rizzo has confirmed that he is now working on a debut album, where we can expect surprises from the production and artist features.
