As a pioneer, revolutionary, humanitarian and father; Congo Natty aka Mikail Tafari has played an influential role in boundary breaking music movements. Nine years after his Jungle Revolution album and a five decade deep discography of seminal and timeless releases, Ancestorz sees Mikail leveling up once again, maintaining his boundary crossing journey exploring jungle, D&B, reggae, jazz, hip-hop and beyond. He mentioned in an interview this year he's likely to never make another album again!
The album tells the most important story jungle music can tell; representing the global diaspora, giving voice to the people, Mikail documents the uprising and reflects on where mankind, culture and the journey is at in 2022.
Understanding jungle’s power to unite and break barriers, while weaving the positive affirmations of his spiritual life as a Rastafarian into his songwriting, Mikail has been an important voice in the uprising since the early 90s, with a fascinating mind and decades worth of anecdotes.
