Rising Californian star Alix Page follows a sold-out US, UK and EU tour in support of Gracie Abrams with the anticipated new single “Pulling Teeth”. Released today, the track was co-written with Irish actor, singer, and musician, Mark McKenna (Sing Street, Wayne), who co-stars alongside Alix in the official music video.

“This song came from a breakup, specifically during one of the final conversations with my ex who used the expression, ‘pulling teeth’, as a comparison to certain aspects of our relationship.” tells Alix. “I couldn’t get that phrase out of my head.”

“Working with Mark was a dream and anyone who knows me knows that Sing Street is my favorite movie of all time. The video was directed, shot, styled, recorded, and performed by all good friends of mine in Long Beach, CA. In my experience, the hardest part about breakups is that a lot of times the good memories outweigh the bad, so it was important to me to have the sweet montage moments with Mark on top of heartbreaking lyrics to capture that concept.”

Praised by key tastemaker outlets including NME, The Fader, Stereogum, CLASH, The Line of Best Fit, Dork & Coup De Main, Alix Page, 20, may at first seem indistinguishable from the average teenager.

Alix began 2022 with the release of her self-written debut EP, Old News, produced by Half•Alives Brett Kramer and mastered by Dave Cooley (M83, Tame Impala, Wolf Alice). Most recently, Alix collaborated alongside alternative artist, musician, and prominent indie songwriter, Luke Wild, on his latest single, “Half the Story” released 2nd September.
