Songwriter, actor, director : KOTTA unveils 'New Crowned King'

Known also as Eric Gorlow, KOTTA is an American singer-songwriter, actor, writer, and director. His third single, "New Crowned King", is recorded and produced by Raz Kinghoffer in Los Angeles (‘Insatiable', ‘Lucifer', ‘Shades of Blue' , ‘Shadowhunters', ‘Almost Family' , The Rookie' etc.).
Rock music with a playful, yet bluesy beat underscores " New Crowned King 's" eclectic, ambiguous lyrics, which are influenced by musicians like Beck, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, and Tyler the Creator.
“The song was stuck in my head for months - back in December of last year, every time I was driving somewhere alone this song kept pushing itself into my subconscious. In fact most of the song was written, driving around the empty streets (never that empty in LA), in the middle of the night. It had a very stranded feeling, as you can see in the music video. The music video, directed by Kotta himself, brings us to a world of frisky humor with an underlying bluesy soul, where a man wakes up in the desert, wearing a crown, with no memory of how he got there. He scrambles under the blaring sun searching for relief and protecting his crown from strange otherworldly visitors… “The music video was shot in an unknown desert that no human can get to without interstellar help. It questions the relativity of desired power.” –Kotta
Kotta previously released 2 singles and is currently working on his first full album, hoping to release it by 2023. “Stray little Legs" (2020) is a song he composed for his movie “Let’s Dream“. For his first single, Kotta remained in the shadows and asked L.A. based singer Buel to sing it. In 2021, Kotta’s voice came to life as he debuted “Dolly's Overdue", his second single.
